No Plans To Delay Halo Infinite To 2022
After the news that Halo Infinite was delayed to 2021, speculations picked up suggesting that the game may be pushed back all the way to 2022. The rumours also suggested that 343 would drop Xbox One support completely. However, these speculations were quashed by 343 Industries community manager, John Junyszek.
Junyszek cleared the air by answering a question about these rumours on Twitter. He tweeted, “we’re seeing lots of fake “leaks” out there, so please don’t believe everything you read. There are no plans to change our 2021 release or the devices and platforms we’ll be supporting. We’re building Halo Infinite to be the best it can be on each device/platform.”
343 initially planned for Halo Infinite to be an Xbox Series X launch game, however the unfortunate delay will see them miss the console launch window. “The decision to shift our release is the result of multiple factors that have contributed to development challenges, including the ongoing COVID-related impacts affecting us all this year,” said 343 regarding the delay.
